CUSTOM ROBOT DEVELOPMENT / JDM

Custom mobile robot development and JDM.

Joint design and manufacturing (JDM) connects your application requirements with our in-house robotics R&D and Shining Group manufacturing resources, from product architecture and algorithms to prototype validation and production preparation.

OUR FOUNDATION / R&D + MANUFACTURING

In-house robotics R&D.
Shining Group manufacturing.

From the mobile base and navigation algorithms to complete robot engineering, prototype validation and production preparation.

01 / ROBOTICS ENGINEERING

We develop the robot as a system.

Our robotics team brings mechanical design, control hardware, embedded software and algorithms into one development process.

Mechanical & electrical design
Chassis structures, upper-module adaptation, electrical systems, wiring and sensor integration.
Embedded systems & motion control
Device communication, low-level control functions and coordinated chassis drive and control.
In-house SLAM & navigation
Mapping, localization, navigation, path planning and obstacle avoidance, with configuration and software scope agreed for the project.

02 / GROUP MANUFACTURING RESOURCES

An established manufacturing foundation.

Shining Group was established in 1995, with production bases in Taizhou and Jiangsu. Its manufacturing businesses include wall-mounted boilers, commercial air conditioning and centrifuges.

  • Machining and sourcing for prototypes and production.
  • Assembly, testing and quality management resources.
  • Pilot builds, production introduction and ongoing supply.

Shining Robotics leads robot development and delivery. Group resources are used according to project needs and internal arrangements.

WHEN JOINT DEVELOPMENT FITS

Build on what exists. Engineer what your task needs.

Product form

When the upper module, mechanical layout or payload cannot be met with an existing configuration.

Hardware & interfaces

When your sensors, electronics, power architecture or control system need coordinated integration.

Software & application

When robot behavior, customer algorithms or application interfaces require new development and validation.

OEM / ODM PROJECT BRIEFS

Define who designs, develops and manufactures.

If your procurement brief uses OEM or ODM, share the design you already have and the development or manufacturing work you need. Our JDM review defines responsibilities, interfaces, validation, deliverables and production scope for your project.

PROCESS & DELIVERABLES

A defined path from concept to supply.

01

Define the product

Tasks, environment, payload, cost targets and operating workflow.

TYPICAL OUTPUT

Requirements, acceptance criteria and responsibility matrix.

02

Select and engineer

Assess reusable platforms; develop mechanics, electronics and agreed software interfaces.

TYPICAL OUTPUT

Architecture, design package, interface list and prototype plan.

03

Integrate and validate

Integrate customer applications and algorithms; test prototypes against agreed criteria.

TYPICAL OUTPUT

Software and hardware versions, test results and design changes.

04

Introduce production

Prepare BOMs, processes, test requirements, pilot builds and supply planning.

TYPICAL OUTPUT

Production documentation and agreed volume supply arrangements.

Our university collaboration includes relevant teams at Tongji University and Jiangnan University working on core algorithms, expert guidance, talent development and technology iteration. Stages and outputs are a planning framework. Scope, schedule, fees, acceptance criteria, source files, software licenses and intellectual property are agreed by project contract.

PROJECT DEFINITION

Bring the information that shapes the work.

  • Application tasks, environment and user operation.
  • Target payload, footprint, upper-module layout and cost objectives.
  • Existing designs, sensors, control systems, software and algorithms.
  • Interfaces, validation criteria, design ownership and delivery expectations.
  • Prototype quantity, expected volume and project timing.
